Description: Visit us at https://www.dsastx.org/events/buddy-walk/ for event flyer and information.

The Down Syndrome Association of South Texas (DSASTX) will host its 19th Annual Buddy Walk presented by Whataburger LLC., Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at River City Community Church (16765 Lookout Rd) in Selma, TX. The BuddyWalk will begin at 9 am and the Program and Walk will start at 10:30 am. The event will conclude at 1 pm.

The DSASTX is honored to announce, for the first time ever - Whataburger as this year’s presenting sponsor of the Buddy Walk of South Texas.

In 2018, the Buddy Walk of South Texas had over 4,500 participants take part in our walk – for 2019, we expect even more! This one-mile walk is a family event that celebrates individuals with Down Syndrome while increasing awareness and inclusion. The event will include onsite activities such as music, face painting, inflatables, a train, exhibitor booths, and food trucks.   “The Buddy Walk of South Texas is an event like none other. Come join us as we celebrate Down syndrome and promote inclusion in our community. We truly believe South Texas can be a leader as an inclusive community, and this event provides us the platform we need to share our mission,” said Brooke Kearney, DSASTX Executive Director.
