Please join Autism Community Network for Coffee & Connection this Friday, March 10, 2023. Autism Community Network’s LMSW, Anna Paola Smith, will present on Sibshops, a sibling support program providing young siblings of neurodivergent children with peer support and information in a fun setting. Sibshops is evidence of loving concern for the family member who will have the longest-lasting relationship with a person who has a disability. However, for the children who attend them, Sibshops are fun, recreational events which also create space to talk about the good times, and challenging parts about having a sibling with disabilities with others who understand.
ACN is excited to announce we are positioned to begin Sibshops and this presentation is the official kick-off to recruiting neurotypical siblings! You won’t want to miss this!
We will meet via Zoom at 9am CST. This program is free and open to the public thanks to a partnership with The City of San Antonio Department of Human Services. To register please email coffee@acn-sa.org.
